What a file comparison establishes
Matches and differences in the selected exports, with their source records. A published state is the state recorded in that file.
What still needs a separate check
Live availability, stock propagation, fulfilment locations, image quality and the correct physical model. Image URLs are inspected as text; the review does not request them.
THE REVIEW METHOD
Keep the source.
Make the uncertainty visible.
Matching text is a starting point. Publication state, channel links and product condition need their own evidence.
- 01
Start with the actual fields
Choose the SKU and status columns in each file. Optional fields that are absent stay unknown.
- 02
Hold uncertain mappings for review
A case change, an extra space or an unapproved channel link is a review clue. It is never silently accepted as a match.
- 03
Separate the audit from the change
Review the exceptions and agree the corrections first. Store updates and live stock tests belong in a separately approved step.
A SMALL, DEFINED FIRST STEP
Need the audit delivered?
The US$249 audit pilot covers one agreed batch of up to 500 active offer SKUs, a source-linked exception report, review of up to 20 priority findings and one revision. Delivery within two business days after the scope and exports are agreed.
Custom fields, larger catalogues, store changes and live integration tests are scoped separately.
